I gave a keynote at the 54th Applied Imagery Pattern Recognition (AIPR) Workshop, held October 12 to 13 at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

My graduate student Trevor Gregory also had a paper accepted at the workshop, “Real Time Pixel Level Esports Prediction Using Edge AI.” The work extracts match-state data from Call of Duty League broadcast video without proprietary APIs or cloud infrastructure. A YOLO-based detector tracks players on the minimap, an OCR module reads the scoreboard, and a classifier estimates win probability frame by frame at 59.94 frames per second on consumer edge hardware. Springer will publish the proceedings in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series. Congratulations, Trevor.

Thank you to the AIPR organizers for the invitation, and to Regis University’s Anderson College of Business and Computing and the Marketing and Data Sciences Department.
