Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy focuses on fostering an inclusive, engaging, and practical learning environment that equips students to tackle real-world challenges. I believe in providing hands-on experience with real-world applications, offering constructive feedback, and maintaining strong industry relevance in my teaching approach. My students consistently highlight the effectiveness of this methodology, particularly appreciating the practical debugging skills, industry examples, and interactive learning environment. I have over a decade of experience in academic teaching and research in different educational institutes, with recent Assistant Professor role at Regis University, Denver, Colorado, USA. Student Testimonials

"I would take another class because I like the hands on classwork and constructive feedback. In real time we were able to work through code and identify issues that we may encounter for assignments. As someone who did not have a lot of experience with Python and Anaconda environments, it was beneficial to learn how to debug. Professor Mujtaba also provided real life examples of how data science was used within the industry, encouraging us to continue our own research and practice working with datasets."
